ST AUGUSTINE'S CHURCH

St Augustine's is a friendly, welcoming church serving the Undercliffe area of Bradford. We have Sunday worship at 10.00 a.m. with Canon Robin Gamble, our vicar Rosy Fairhurst, and Caroline Skelton.

We have a children's and youth worker, Anna Gulland, and have just started a monthly youth group on the last Friday of each month in addition to our Sunday morning children's work. We work in partnership with

St Clement's in our young people's work, and also with Community Works for Ignite,

our work with unaccompanied young asylum seekers.

St Augustine's building was redeveloped in a creative and beautiful way when Robin was Vicar here. It is light and practical - great for conferences, events and parties, especially with its beautiful walled garden in the ruins of the chancel of the original 1877 church.

The Revd Canon Denise Poole was also Vicar here, leading the church into working with the community to buy the former St Augustine's Primary School to found Community Works, which has grown into a substantial project serving all parts of the community of Undercliffe.

We still have a church school link via Westminster School. Anna Gulland serves as a governor there.

For more information to contact a member or staff and about booking space please contact the parish office on 01274 775885 or via office.staugustines@gmail.com. There is usually someone in the office on Mondays and Thursdays during the day, and on Tuesday mornings.

We are rebuilding after the rigours of the pandemic. We currently have one Home Group

- please contact Rosy on rosy.fairhurst@leeds.anglican.org if you are interested in joining us.
